Emma Stone appears to have nabbed a new film following the nationwide release of Gangster Squad. The actress is reportedly in talks at the moment to join Guillermo del Toro’s Crimson Peak which has us ‘all kinds of excited’ and so forth. The movie is the director’s stab at a more big budget (relatively speaking) horror film that promises to be a bit of an homage in tone of some of Del Toro’s favorites from the genre (like The Shining.) This is the type of thing audiences may want following an onslaught of low-budget attempts at scaring up ticket sales.
Aside from Gangster Squad this month, the actress also has Movie 43–a low-budget R-comedy that looks more like a collection of sketches. We do not exactly know what to expect from that one, but it is also worth noting she is currently preparing to dive into The Amazing Spider-Man 2 which is gearing up production. The Help star will be reprising her role of Gwen Stacy opposite Andrew Garfield and Jamie Foxx who will play Electro.
